COAXIAL POWER DIVIDERS

Coaxial power dividers (CPD 1/N, N - the number of outputs) are used in broadcast and TV stations with multi-radiator antennas.
We produce and operated successful different types of modern, manufacturabile coaxial power dividers from CPD 1/2 to CPD 1/16 with given value of input/output resistance (as illustrated in pictures below).
Maximum power of coaxial power dividers can vary from 1 W to 50 kW.
Construction of coaxial power dividers input and outputs is in accordance with allowable power and for customer order.

Variants of multi-radiator antenna are on the Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. Fig. 1 gives traditionally flowchart of multi-radiator antenna with 16 radiators and customary CPD. Fig. 2 gives flowchart of multi-radiator antenna with 16 radiators and CPD Octode LTD production.

As is easy to see practical use of CPD Octode Ltd production result in considerable economy (six CPD, twelve sections, great quantity of power cable), decrease of elements' quantity and increases the reliability in service.
The orders for CPD realize within two, three months (in accordance with type of CDP) after signing the Purchase Order.

ORIGINAL HIGH FREQUENCY SWITCH FOR MODERN RADIO ENTERPRISES

We have worked out, produced and operated successfully the remote control switch 2x2 for broadcasting transmitters on based vacuum switch 1x2, which has the following parameters:

  - delivered power   10 KW;
  - working frequency band   65- 75 Mg or 87.5-108 Mg;
  - input/output resistance   50 ;
  - joined flanges   1 5/8';
  - CPD in band   1,1;
  - control voltage   28 V (DC);
  - control current (max)   13 .;
  - switch time no more   50 sec;
  - source   50000 switches (with disregarding real quantity of switches about 500 years exploitation);
  - mass, kg. no more   22 kg;
  - price   3000 $

Construction of high frequency switch 22 (Fig.1) should build on its based high frequency switchboard with the possibility of gradual increase of quantity high frequency switches without deterioration of co-ordination in high frequency route. Version of high frequency switch, which are operated in Octode Ltd, is on the Figure 2.
For control switches 22 are used the scheme of control, being realized the required operation reliability of commutation, and also mnemonic circuit which shows all high frequency switchboard connection.

New power 16-way 180? divider was developed
for TV antenna system in UHF band.

The new power 16-way 180? divider for TV transmitting antenna system in UHF band was developed and manufactured by order of Krasnodar Regional Broadcasting Station. The design is protected by patent and its high electrical characteristic and small dimensions are second to none.

The new power 16-way 180? divider is used for connection to power HF75-120-D cable with large cross dimension and wave impedance 75 ohm. The peculiarity of the divider is that input impedance is 75 ohm and 16 ways are 50 ohm. Therefore the real input impedance to output impedance ratio is 24.

The new power 16-way 180? divider for TV transmitting antenna system in UHF band is a power distributor of in-phase - antiphase type. All the outputs are structurally and electrically divided in two groups of 8 outputs that are marked with different colors. Herewith the output signals of each group have equal amplitude and phase. The signals of both groups are antiphase among each other in the working frequency range.

It is important to take this fact into account for correct phasing of the antennas that are fed by this divider. The input of the new power 16-way 180 ? divider has flanged connector for HF75-120- D cable and 16 EIA 7/8 outputs.

Keys :

•  Input for cable HF75-120- D.

•  The upper group of 8 outputs with relative phase 0 degrees.

•  Lower group of outputs with relative phase 180 degrees.

SWR within the range 490-640 MHz not above 1.07.

Maximum peak power 30 kW.
